Koko Boodakian does a superb job cleaning and mending rugs and restoring them to a new condition. The rugs truly look new when they are returned and I am always amazed. There is no other company I would ever use. I cannot thank them enough.

Amazing staff there, and the owner is pretty nice. They have a great collection from new to to Antiques. When took a tour realised, ita a whole Factory in all. Seems a small place from outside, but one you go in, you'll keep exploring, they even have a Repair Guy working the rugs right there, thats the most peaceful part. In thia new era, this art form is going rare.

Forgot they have cleaning factory too right next to thwir main, told yaa Its an all in all everything.

The collection they have is pretty insane !!!

You gotta meet the real artist, back stage, who's bringing alive these antique pieces of art

Brought a handmade Persian rug that had a pet stain on it and it was pretty dirty from day to day use. It’s a semi antique rug.

It was cleaned very well. The stain was removed but there was a line that I noticed after opening it at home.

I’m assuming they did their best and couldn’t get that part cleaned.

I was given a 20% off which was nice of the owner.

Overall, I’m happy with their work. I’ll bring more Persian rugs to be cleaned.

The only complaint I have is the estimator they have on their website. It’s for specific type of rug. The price could be higher depending on the material of the rug. I wish it would let you choose the right rug and get an accurate estimate.

The repairs service provided by this company is absolutely superb. We had a 4x6 oriental rug that was over 20 years old, but, until a new puppy arrived, it was holding up well. The puppy not only did her business on it, but started EATING the fringe and then started chomping down on the body of the rug. Not having had an experience like this before I was skeptical that it could be repaired at all, much less brought back to its prior beauty. I was assured by Sager that they could repair it as good as new. Well, Sager was being modest. I received the rug back today via UPS and it looks brand new and it is impossible to tel that it has been repaired. I would highly recommend this company's rug repair services.
I have gone here to stand out from the crowd when it comes to interior decorating. I don’t want a cheap, overused and over duplicated Wayfair or Pottery Barn rug. I don’t want to hear someone tell me, “I have the same rug!” I can guarantee that I stand apart from the rest. I cannot afford the fine Persian silk rugs that he has in his front showroom. Your search may start and end in the front gallery and if it does, bravo. But, Rest assured your carpet hunt isn’t over if you can’t! Ask about some of the used/trade rugs he’s accepted in his long spate of being in business (80 years!) I’ve included a bunch of examples of what you can find from the more affordable back room. Check’em out!

I’ve included a few of my selections of pre owned rugs. The ivory and gray one is as mainstream as I got — a Safavieh. My gorgeous red wool rug is my parlor room’s prize. I love being able to interact and learn about these historical pieces from Mohammed. His entire staff bends over backwards to make sure you’re happy and if I lived in the greater Winchester area I would have them come to my home for convenient rug cleanings with their green chemicals. Couldn’t be easier. If you’re on Main Street, don’t pass up the chance to be inspired by statement decor investments.

Koko Boodakian is the only place I would ever buy rugs from. I have been to the store many times and have always been welcomed by the owner and other staff. They have an amazing selection of rugs from different parts of Iran and other countries as well.
They also have a vast collection of vintage rugs. The owner has immense knowledge about each rug and is a trusted rug appraiser.

I have bought few rugs from this place. Each rug is a unique piece and represents a different design and culture. All handmade and from wool, cotton and other organic materials.

I got my last rug when I was in Ohio. The owner sent me images of a collection all with very affordable prices. He shipped the rug to my address with no hassles. I received the rug and immediately saw an upgrade to my apartment and everyday life. Feels great to walk on a piece of art made from organic wool material. Of course these rugs last hundred of years and are sustainable with no plastic in them.
I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Koko Boodakian and Sons. We purchased a carpet on black Friday and needed it resized before Christmas. I researched many companies and KB&S offered the quickest turn around at the best rate - and their final price was true to their initial estimate, which we received very quickly. I first experienced exceptional service from Sager, who discussed my needs, timeline and provided me with thoughtful options. I picked up the rug a few days sooner than they promised it back and the quality of the resizing is exceptional. Service, value, quality and speed all exceeded my expectations. This business cares about their work and their customers and I cannot wait to recommend and use their services again.

Frequently asked questions

Your Questions Answered

How often should drapes be cleaned by Koko Boodakian & Sons?

Every 2–3 years for most installations, annually for high-dust environments or fabrics exposed to cooking areas. Unlike upholstery that gets touched daily, drapery’s main enemy is airborne particles. Frequency depends more on air quality and sun exposure than on use. We’ll assess your environment and fabric condition to avoid under- or over-cleaning.

Yes, and often we recommend it. On-premises cleaning eliminates takedown risks, such as torn mounting points, lost pleating, or stress on delicate hardware. We bring specialized mobile equipment designed for vertical treatment, including low-moisture cleaning systems, controlled extraction, and pole-mounted tools for hard-to-reach areas. However, drapery can also be cleaned off-site in our specialized cleaning facility, depending on the specific needs of your drapery and home.

Yes, and we know firsthand that each of these materials requires a completely different treatment. Designer fabrics often call for a custom cleaning plan based on the fabric type, condition, and construction of each drapery panel.

Absolutely—dust removal is an essential part of professional drapery cleaning, as years of airborne particles can become embedded in pleats and linings, contributing to allergies, odors, and premature fabric deterioration. We use HEPA-filtered extraction to safely remove contaminants without redistributing them into your home. For odors caused by smoke, cooking, pets, or mustiness, we apply fabric-specific treatments matched to the material and condition of your drapery. In most cases, these issues can be resolved with proper professional cleaning.
